Wyoming City Councilman John Fitzgerald is voicing his support for robust new education funding for Michigan.
“We must aggressively fund our public schools to ensure our students, teachers, and administrators have the resources necessary to create engaging learning environments,” said Fitzgerald.
Fitzgerald believes increased investment will allow Michigan to close the funding gap, create equality across school districts, and ensure that, even as the effects of the pandemic can still be felt, teachers and administrators can provide safe classroom instruction for all their students.
Since 2020, Fitzgerald has served as Wyoming, Michigans’s Council Member-At-Large. In addition to his work on the council, Fitzgerald serves as the West Michigan Community Board Chair for Ele’s Place, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing support for grieving children and their families.
