Mount Clemens City Commissioner Denise Mentzer is calling out the pharmaceutical industry and demanding lower drug costs.
Earlier this year, Governor Gretchen Whitmer signed House Bills 4348, 4351, and 4352, legislation designed to lower the costs of prescription drugs for Michiganders. These bills will limit costs tacked on by licensing pharmacy benefits managers – middlemen who control whether patients can access their prescriptions and how much they pay.
Commissioner Mentzer, who is running for the Michigan House of Representatives, has served the City of Mount Clemens for over 8 years and has worked as a Senior Buyer with Macomb County for the last 5 years.
