Mount Clemens Commissioner Denise Mentzer is calling for a renewed focus on economic growth and job creation for working families – not Wall Street executives – just as Michigan leaders work to bolster the state economy.

Commissioner Mentzer’s emphasis on the economy comes as Governor Gretchen Whitmer signs new bills into law designed to boost jobs in the state, support the Michigan tourism economy, and lower prices for working families. The nine bills represent a wide variety of solutions designed to fill labor shortages and expand economic opportunities, including House Bills 4232, 5983, and 5984.

Commissioner Mentzer, who is running for office in Michigan House District 61, is urging Whitmer and Michigan lawmakers to continue innovating new solutions that grow the economy and prioritize Michigan’s working families.
