Mike Milanowski, Jr. has welcomed the endorsement of Right to Life of Michigan, a leading proponent of a 1931 state law that would prohibit abortions even in the case of rape and incest, and includes prison sentences for women and doctors for up to four years.
In a June 24th Facebook post Milanowski thanked the group for their support:
“Thank you Right to Life of Michigan,” the post read, “for the exclusive endorsement in the 84th. I will continue to fight for the rights of those who cannot speak for themselves & promote family first legislation always.”
This echoes a statement from Milanowski in which he pledges to protect “the most vulnerable in our society, like the unborn.”
Right to Life of Michigan’s executive director Genevieve Marnon has said, “We definitely support, of course, punishing the rapist, but we don’t support killing the unborn, innocent child.”
Representative Carol Glanville says that the legislature should restore the protections found in Roe v. Wade and repeal the 91-year-old law. “Our local residents—and everyone across the state,” Glanville has said, “deserve the right to safe, accessible health care, and that includes access to abortion.”
Milanowski, Jr. lives with his wife and children in Walker, Michigan and works as a loan officer.
