State Representative Annette Glenn has spoken out in support of a 1931 law that would make abortion a felony in Michigan and includes jail sentences for women who seek abortions and doctors who provide them.
As “somebody who’s been endorsed by Right to Life,” Glenn has said that “she will always vote against abortion.” Right to Life of Michigan is an organization that seeks to “end abortion,” including in cases of rape and incest, and supports the enforcement of the 1931 law.
Bay City Commissioner Kristen McDonald Rivet is opposed to enforcing the 1931 law and seeks to restore Roe v. Wade protections for Michiganders. “Michigan should be a state where every person has the ability to live, work, thrive, and raise a family on their own terms,” McDonald Rivet has said.
Representative Glenn studied public administration at Boise State University. She has previously worked on political campaigns for the Michigan House and Senate.
