Support is high among Americans for President Biden’s economic plan to bring down living costs for working families.

According to recent polling by Navigator Research, nearly seven in ten people, including two out every three independent voters, support the plan.

Two of the proposed measures most favored by Americans aim to lower healthcare and energy costs. This includes allowing Medicare to negotiate with pharmaceutical companies for lower drug prices and capping monthly insulin costs at $35. The plan also focuses on bringing down household energy bills by nearly $500 a year while creating “millions of high-paying jobs in clean energy.”

In his first State of the Union address, President Biden urged Congress to make this agenda a priority and send the legislation to his desk in order to start “getting prices under control.”

“It’s time,” President Biden said. Polling shows the American people agree.
