A recently released survey shows that support for President Biden’s economic plan has reached an all-time high, with 71 percent of Americans in support.
The Biden administration has made lowering the cost of healthcare, drugs, and energy a main priority and the Navigator Research survey demonstrates that the plan has connected with Americans from across the political spectrum. Fifty-five percent of Independent voters approve of the plan and nearly half, 49 percent, of Republicans also support it.
“American families need relief from higher costs,” the White House said in a statement, “and they need it now.”
The administration has set its sights on lowering prescription drug costs through its Build Back Better plan, which allows Medicare to negotiate drug prices directly with pharmaceutical companies. The plan is also slated to cap insulin costs at 35 dollars a month.
In response to creeping energy costs, the President’s long-term vision involves auctioning off 145,000 new drilling permits, while in the short-term, the administration’s release of 1 million barrels per day from the country’s oil reserves has already been credited with lowering gas prices by 13 cents.
